The plates are signed on the back with the maker's mark, the title of the illustration and the decoration number.
These decorations are inspired by a work by Fromentin.
In 1697 Charles Perrault published a collection of eight fairy tales "Les Contes de ma mère l'Oye" inspired by popular tales that illustrate these plates with these very modern drawings.
The most famous Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty have been adapted to the cinema by Walt Disney.
