Their refined, understated bodies are beautifully enhanced by finely applied borders adorned with vine leaves and grape motifs, gracefully emerging from a pair of handles. The body rests on a ringed socle, with a stem expanding into a circular foot, featuring concave banding and an overlapping vine leaf and grape decoration, mirroring the rim’s embellishment. These sophisticated pieces exemplify the excellence of English silversmithing and stand out for their remarkable condition and the exquisite patina of their silver. Each cooler is adorned on both sides with a hand-engraved crest depicting an eagle perched on a branch.
