Japonisme style silver pourer and pot by MERITE

Rare silver pourer with its jar in the japonism style. Decorated with fine bamboo, crane birds, bees, traditional houses and landscapes etc. Ivory handle of the pourer with a detachable top. 

Each piece is stamped MERITE (metalworker) below de base with hallmarks and French silver guarantee Minerve. 19th century.
