The French may call it cabinet de curiosités, but as for Aude Clément, she reinvents the Alice in Wonderland atmosphere by selling tableware—from silver-plated bronze candelabras shown above to mother-of-pearl dishes—like nothing else, present or past, at her shop, Au Bain Marie. “I’m fond of the unusual printed tin plates with the dramatic matching knifes and forks, particularly the Bracquemond collection,” says Labro. “It’s a wonderful reproduction of the 1867 table set designed by the French painter Félix Bracquemond.”
